China's Titanium Ingot Production Capacity Changes

According to statistics from the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association's Titanium, Zirconium, and Hafnium Branches of 33 titanium ingot manufacturers, China's titanium ingot production capacity will reach 199,000 tons in 2020, an increase of 11.8% over 2019. This is mainly due to Xinjiang Xiangsheng and Yunnan Titanium Industry. The production capacity was formed by the newly installed titanium smelting equipment by 2 companies. In 2020, the output of titanium ingots will be 120,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 35%, which has been increasing for six consecutive years. The capacity utilization rate in 2020 is 60%, which has increased year on year but is still at a relatively low level. Since titanium ingot is an intermediate product from sponge titanium to titanium material, its production capacity and output change trend are consistent with that of sponge titanium.
