GR9 Titanium Tube

         Titanium gr9 Ti-3Al-2.5V alloy is an α+β alloy with a small amount of Pb added to enhance corrosion resistance. This grade is characterized by good weldability and excellent processability. The alloy has high mechanical strength and an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. It combines good corrosion resistance with good cold formability. The material has good ductility and toughness.

GR9 titanium tubing is sometimes referred to as "half of 6-4". It is 20-50% stronger than carbon-phosphorus alloys, but easier to form and weld than titanium-6Al-4V GR9, combining strength, weldability and formability. Alloys have excellent formability and are higher than the strongest unalloyed grades.
