2. Superelasticity: It is caused by the martensitic phase change in titanium-nickel alloy. When external force is applied, a phase change occurs, which in turn leads to elastic changes in the titanium alloy. However, when the external force is removed, the martensite phase will return to its original form.
3. Anti-corrosion performance: A dense oxide film can be formed on its surface, which can further prevent corrosion of the alloy. In titanium-nickel alloys, titanium acts as a passivator to form a protective film, while nickel can improve the corrosion resistance and wear resistance of the alloy.
4. Gentle correction power: Currently, the tooth straightening wires commonly used in commercial use are mainly stainless steel and cobalt-chromium-nickel alloys. Titanium-nickel alloy has softer correction power and can better protect our teeth and periodontal tissue. It also reduces pain and discomfort.
5. Anti-toxicity: The oxide film formed on the surface of titanium-nickel alloy can resist and prevent harmful substances from intruding into the interior of the alloy, thereby protecting it from corrosion and damage. Because of its good biocompatibility and corrosion resistance, titanium-nickel alloy is often used as human implants, such as artificial joints, dental implants, etc.
Manufacturing process of titanium-nickel alloy plate:
1. Prepare a proportion of titanium and nickel materials.
2. Smelt the prepared proportion of materials until they are in a molten state for subsequent processing.
3. Pour the better smelted material into the mold, and cast it into the shape you want after cooling.
4. Roll the cast plate, and reduce its thickness and increase its strength through repeated rolling.
5. Post-heat treatment: We perform heat treatment on the rolled plate to improve its mechanical properties and its corrosion resistance.
6. Surface treatment: Polishing, pickling and other processes are performed on the plate to improve its surface quality and corrosion performance.
