Most of titanium extruded products are cold-processed pipe blanks, and they also include some hot-extruded pipes, special-shaped parts, profiles and composite materials used as finished products.

The titanium seamless tubes currently produced on the market generally adopt the cold-rolled vacuum annealing process. The titanium ingot is forged into a tube blank, and the tube blank undergoes multiple passes of rolling and annealing processes, and is finally formed into a seamless titanium tube. . In the production of tube blanks, there are mainly two production processes. One method is to produce tube blanks by drilling and extruding. This method consumes a lot of titanium metal and the wall thickness of the tube blank is uniform. The selection of appropriate glass lubricant becomes the key to extrusion. It also requires a larger tonnage extruder and requires a large investment in equipment. The other method is common in steel pipe production. Used cross-rolled perforations. This method consumes less titanium metal, and the thickness tolerance of the tube blank is slightly larger. During the perforation process, sometimes there is no penetration, and the plug is stuck in the blank. This is a technical problem worthy of study in current production technology. Although the processing technology of titanium alloy seamless pipes is relatively mature, due to the limitations of existing equipment, titanium pipes are currently mainly made of low-strength, low-alloyed pure titanium, titanium-molybdenum-nickel and other medium and low-strength titanium pipes.
