The production process of titanium rods includes raw material preparation, smelting and casting, extrusion, heat treatment, finishing and other processes. We implement strict quality control measures throughout the entire process. To ensure product quality and reliability.
for producing gr. 2 titanium rods is mainly titanium sponge. The sponge is produced from titanium ore using the Kroll process and has a purity of over 99.7%. Titanium is collected from various sources and melted down for use as raw material. Strictly inspected to ensure compliance with required specifications.
The raw materials are melted in a vacuum arc furnace or electron beam furnace under a controlled argon atmosphere. The molten titanium is then cast into cylindrical ingots using water-cooled copper molds. Allow the ingot to cool for a few hours and then remove from the mold.
The ingot is preheated in a furnace and then extruded through a die with a specific cross-sectional shape. The extrusion process enhances the mechanical properties of the titanium rod and gives it a finer grain structure.
After the extrusion process is complete, the titanium rod is heat treated in a vacuum furnace to increase its strength and extend its service life. The process involves heating the rod to a specific temperature and holding it for a certain period of time, then rapidly cooling it.
