Classification and use of titanium pipe fittings

Titanium pipe fittings are usually made of pure titanium or titanium alloys, with good corrosion resistance and lightweight properties. They are widely used in water treatment, seawater desalination, power generation, marine chemical processing, oil and gas exploration and other fields. Pure titanium tubes have good corrosion resistance and welding properties, suitable for aerospace and chemical fields; while titanium alloy tubes have higher strength and better high-temperature performance, suitable for petroleum and chemical fields. The main classifications of titanium pipe fittings include the following:

Titanium pipe fittings

1.Titanium Elbows:
These pipe fittings are mainly used to change the direction of fluid in the pipeline system. Common elbow angles include 45 degrees, 90 degrees and 180 degrees. They can be manufactured in accordance with ASME B16.9 and ASME B16.11 standards, providing different sizes and wall thicknesses.

2.Titanium Reducers:
Used to connect pipes of different diameters. Divided into concentric and eccentric types to meet different pipe connection needs.

3.Titanium Tees:
Used to connect three pipes at right angles to achieve fluid distribution. According to ASTM B363 WPT2 and ASME SB16.9 standards, equal-diameter tees, reducing tees and equal-diameter crosses are available.

4. Titanium Pipe Fittings:
Includes various types such as socket welding fittings, butt welding fittings and threaded fittings. Used to connect and control the flow of liquids and gases in pipelines.

5. Titanium Flanges:
Used to connect pipes, valves and other equipment to form a complete pipeline system. Flange connection has the advantages of simple structure and reliable sealing performance.

6. Titanium Forged Fittings:
When durability and long-term pipeline connection are required, titanium forged fittings are the first choice. The forging process improves the strength and toughness of the fittings.

Titanium pipe fittings

In addition, there are other types of titanium pipe fittings, such as:
Stub Ends: Used to connect flanges and pipes.
Caps: Used to close the end of the pipe.
Couplings: Used to connect two pipes.
Plugs: Used to plug the opening in the pipe.

These titanium pipe fittings are widely used in water treatment, seawater desalination, power generation, marine chemical processing, oil and gas exploration and other fields due to their light weight and corrosion resistance. Especially in industries requiring high corrosion resistance such as aerospace, chemical processing, oil and gas and marine applications, titanium pipe fittings play an irreplaceable role.
